Inventory Control Sr Analyst

JOB FUNCTION

This position is responsible for oversight of the design, communication, and implementation of inventory control practices in all Post Consumer Brands inventory locations. In addition, it will provide financial support to the Supply Chain organization through freight and warehousing analyses.

This position will report to our Cost Accounting Manager, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to our Supply Chain Finance Manager. It will collaborate with Operations, the Cost Accounting function, IT, and Manufacturing and Supply Chain personnel to set and ensure compliance to policies related to inventory management in our facilities, and to maximize return on investment within our Supply Chain organization.

JOB DUTIES

1. Inventory Control
a. Participate in the design of all company inventory control policies and practices within the facilities.
b. Communicate company policies and practices to all inventory control personnel.
c. Identify and facilitate training needs related to inventory control for each facility.
d. Practice defined and communicated internal controls to ensure proper safeguarding of company inventory assets.
e. Act as the Finance Process Lead for inventory movement and control processes.
f. Assist with identification and troubleshooting of inventory movement issues.
g. Identify and suggest improvements in current practices related to inventory control.
h. Perform system control reviews and audits.
i. Focus on standardizing inventory management practices across locations.
2. Supply Chain Financial Support
a. Support development of Supply Chain budgets and forecasts, and assist in understanding variances.
b. Proactively identify process and capability “best practices” to drive savings and efficiencies across the network.
c. Special projects as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: College Degree or significant relevant business experience
Experience: 5+ years related work experience
Skills:

Requires a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the relationship between inventory flow and financial accuracy. This employee must have strong personal and integrated system knowledge with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel and Warehouse and Manufacturing inventory systems. Employee must have strong interpersonal communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. This person must be able to collaborate and teach.
